I am an artist who uses photography, film, sound and design to show my fascination for ideology, propaganda and the creation of truth.
Hans Poel (The Netherlands, 1991)
I have always wanted to make sense of what I see, to find some kind of truth about how things work, or should be. Ideology is a powerful tool in finding the answers for these problems, and has always been the centre of my work. I want to know the ways in which these ideas are spread by propaganda, or suppressed by censorship, and why each ideology claims to be on the right side. It is a constant research in the creation of truth, for what purposes it is made, and with which technological means.
I graduated at the Royal Academy Of Art in The Hague in 2016, at the Documentary Photography department. For more information on my Curriculum Vitae, my work, to get in touch regarding employment opportunities, or to just say hello: feel free to get in touch.
